Cognitive mobile edge computing startup, Spectronn, has been invited by NTT DOCOMO to collaborate on 5G trials
Holmdel, NJ - Spectronn has been invited by NTT DOCOMO to join its 5G Open Partner Program. This partnership will allow Spectronn to demonstrate and test its innovative cognitive mobile edge computing technology at DOCOMO’s 5G Open LabTM mobile test bed in Guam. Business agreements with DOCOMO’s clients are also anticipated.
Spectronn offers hyper-converged cognitive mobile networking and edge computing technology products, providing resilient and high-speed wireless multi-connectivity for connected vehicles, dynamic spectrum management for resilient, high-capacity video streaming and smart caching, and policy-driven low-latency computer vision at the mobile edge. These solutions directly address some of the key 5G applications. The 5G Open Lab will give Spectronn access to 5G radio and core network infrastructure.
“This partnership opens up excellent opportunities for us to collaborate with one of the world’s foremost contributor to 5G,” says Spectronn’s CTO Vidya Sagar.
“The opportunity to demonstrate our AI-driven advanced video analytics technology at the 5G mobile edge is exciting,” says Zongru (Doris) Shao, Spectronn’s Senior R&D Engineer.
DOCOMO 5G Open Lab Guam will enable advanced technology partners to rapidly test and innovate in 5G related products and services designed for the U.S. market.
